Julian Caraulani

Founder and lead writer at TechCerted. I build products across AI, education, and the web, and I started TechCerted because the advice on tech careers, certifications, and salaries is mostly marketing dressed up as guidance.

How I write these guides

Every guide here is anchored to primary sources: US Bureau of Labor Statistics data, official exam pages, Glassdoor, Levels.fyi, and vendor documentation, with the figures cited at the end of each article so you can check them. Where a number is a marketing claim rather than verified data, I say so. Where a certification or a career path is not worth it, I say that too. The goal is the guidance I wish I had when navigating this myself: honest, specific, and backed by numbers.

TechCerted earns affiliate commissions on some links, which is disclosed on every article and explained in full on our disclosure page. It never changes which certifications or courses I recommend, or the salary and exam facts, which come from independent sources.
